Executive Experience

  • In 1997 began his career at the Chilean subsidiary of 20th Century Fox.
  • In 2002 joined Cinemark Chile as Marketing Manager.
  • In 2005 entered Telepizza becoming Commercial Manager and responsible of the operation of more than 100 points of sale throughout Chile.

Fund Management & Angel Investment Experience

  • In early 2009 managed private funds for US $5 million developing Papa John’s Pizza brand franchise in Chile, making it the dominant pizza brand and the # 1 international franchise for the chain at an international level.
  • In 2015 achieved an exit through the sale of Papa John’s Chile to the Drake group, remaining as executive director of the Drake QSR group for 2 years.
  • In 2018 created the Private Investment Fund Victoria I for the development of MELT Pizzas brand with an investment of US $15 million, quickly taking a position in the market as the second largest pizza brand in Chile.
  • In 2019 he launched a second private fund of US $ 40 million for the expansion of MELT Pizzas, which was reorganized as a public investment fund in 2021 under the name Quest QSR.
  • Also in 2019 he led a seed capital round for the launch of the e-commerce and food delivery platform Justo, currently being the largest individual shareholder of the company after its founders.

Education

  • Marlon Huerta is a journalist from the Andrés Bello University (1996) and holds a Master’s degree in business management from the Adolfo Ibáñez University (2006).
